How Prince Charming failed…

… to meet Cinderella, and met the Wicked Step-Sister instead!

Once upon a time there was a wicked step sister named Ria. All of her family feared her because she would stalk around her castle and force everyone to keep it neat and clean. Eventually, they all got tired of her ranting and suggested that there were savages in foreign lands who were even less tidy than they were, so she packed her bags and went on a quest.

She traveled far away and finally found a new castle with people who needed her discipline. Day-in and day-out, she would go to work and slave away for the evil ogre, and in the evening she would come home and nag the old-maids to be a tidy person like herself.

When she wasn’t under the lash of the evil ogre, and wasn’t keeping the old-maids under her lash, there were lots of chaps who thought that the wicked step-sister was quite a catch and tried to court her, but she was not fooled by their flowery language and promises of trinkets and baubles. But one day she met a stunning prince.

This prince immediately caught her attention because he wasn’t like all the rest. He was patient and kind, and treated her like a princess; plus, his castle was spotless. She couldn’t believe that such a man existed and so he melted her heart and transformed her into a fair maiden.

The prince was also from far away lands, and he was on a quest to find his princess. He had visited her country a few times but never found anyone who was able to capture his heart, but now he had. Together, they reveled in the glory of his kingdom.

As time went by, they traveled together to many far away places. Their first journey led them to her homeland, where they visited her village. Upon arrival, he was granted an audience with her family, where he met her fair and charming mother, as well as her dashing and handsome father.

Her mother, concerned for her daughter’s safety, cautioned our young heroine to steer clear of the so-called prince, for it was commonly known that people from his land were evil and only wanted to eliminate people from hers for their own gain. However, her father was only concerned with his daughter’s happiness, and granted her the right to follow her heart.
